Location

The Andromeda Mines are located in the heart of Andromeda City. As one would expect from a mine, it reaches deep down underneath the city.

Walkthrough

TIP: Be sure to stock up on Pokéballs before entering this area if the player wishes to capture a unique Pokémon.

Upon first visiting the mine the player is likely to notice the same earthquakes taking place here that were plaguing the Quake Desert. If the player has not done so already, they will need to complete the events in Quake Catacombs before being able to take part in all of the events that take place here.

Once the player pushes through all of the trainers on the first floor and reaches the level below, they will encounter Moss to the right of a platform with a small hole in the center. Upon speaking to her, she will inform the player that they need to use the Steelixite to summon Steelix from the hole and battle it. The Steelix is shiny and is at level 35 when encountered.

Once the Steelix has been subdued Moss will thank the player for their assistance before offering to explain more about Mega Stones to the player. After she says her bit, she will return to the gym and await the player's upcoming challenge.
