Location

Route 316 is the route that connects Blackfist City, Route 317, and the Mysterious Cave together. It consists of pathway of bridges on the eastern side of the map and a cliff overlooking the rest of the map to the northwest. In order to access the cliff, along with the entrance to the Mysterious Cave, the player must acquire Dive along with the Inferno Badge from Caspian City and then use that to access the massive dark patch of water on the western side of the map.

Walkthrough

There are two criteria that the player should consider when first setting foot in this area: speed or experience gain for their team. It the player wishes to exit this area as quickly as possible, they only need to walk against the wall to the east of the entrance, Surf north until they are stopped by another wall, and then Surf west until land is reached. Doing so will allow the player to bypass every single trainer on this route. If experience is of greater interest then the player needs to sweep across all of the bridges before making their way to the exit to the north.

After Acquiring Dive and the Inferno Badge

Easily missed despite its massive size is a Dive area on the western side of the route which will grant the player access to the Mysterious Cave, which will eventually take them to Huron Town and then Victory Road.

After Acquiring Rock Climb

Once the player has received TM128 Rock Climb they may use it near the entrance from Route 317 to have a chance at capturing Delta Machamp. Delta Machamp is at level 75 when encountered.
