Medusa Ray is a non-damaging Rock-type move. It is available as TM106 in-game as well as Attack Box: Medusa Ray.


The target's type is changed to Rock. This lasts either until the target switches out or the battle ends.


1)  The user glares and petrifies the foe, making them Rock-type.

2)  The user petrifies the foe with a powerful glance, making them Rock type.

  • An early screenshot of Zeta/Omicron features a Magmar that was capable of using Medusa Ray. However, a Magmar or Magby raised by the player is incapable of learning Medusa Ray under normal circumstances.
  • Despite the fact that Dragonite cannot learn Medusa Ray through TM, it is still capable of using the move if taught to Dratini or Dragonair first.
